"Why are we deleting inactive accounts?
Inactive accounts are at a higher risk of being hacked because they often rely on old or reused passwords that may have been compromised. Additionally, these accounts may not have two-factor authentication set up and receive fewer security checks from the user.
To reduce the risk of compromised accounts, we may delete an inactive account and its contents if it hasn't been used or signed into for at least six months. Any inactive or closed account with no active service will be deleted within 30 days of being idle. If a user wants to obtain a new service after their account has been deleted due to inactivity, they must sign up for a new user account.
